I really love this message...today we look at Lois. She was the grandmother of Timothy, one of Paul's great followers. She was a woman of great faith, and she passed that on to her grandson. Well, it was a good thing, because her grandson went on to be a major leader in the early church movement! Without her quiet example, that work may never have come to be.
Most of us know how hard it can be to get the kids (and ourselves!) up on a sunday morning and hustle off to church. It's hard to stay disciplined and be a good Christian especially around said children. The amazing thing is through doing those little things, we give our children strong roots in the Lord, and that is what will carry them through all the times when you're not there to do it for them. So be a Lois, and teach the children well...little eyes are always watching!
Happy Sunday everyone! Great day of worship and celebration today as we at CBC kick off the fall season with Rally Day. Lots of great stuff today...church is back to the usual 1030 start time (one of the little things I'm personally very thankful for haha!), and the CBC choir is back in action! Lynne and the crew lead us in a really nice tune with hannah gibson on the solo at the end. enjoy!
This week we continue our series on female disciples...this week we look at the example of Dorcas. This woman helped others her whole life, and got a second chance at life because of it! Put your prayer into action and enjoy the story of a truly amazing woman.
Really happy to present to you a good friend and former pastor of Central Baptist Church, Rev. Wes Smith. He christens his retirement from service with a beautiful sermon about one of the core principles of Christianity...God loves us for who we are. Know that no one is perfect, and the Lord of all loves you anyway!
Evening all! Hope it's been a blessed sunday for you all. Celebrate the lord with a vocal duet from a couple of our favorite female vocalists.
