We continue on in our series about the attributes of God with a really important one...grace. Simply put, to err is human, to forgive is divine. Make no mistake about it, the BEST of us will fall short of perfection. We may go astray, we may hurt someone we love, we may find ourselves not loving the person on the mirror very much. But God, our God, forgives us time and time again. He never kicks us out, He never pushes us away, no matter how much we may deserve it. He chooses to love us in spite of us...and that's grace. It is infinite, it is beautiful, it is everything you need. If you're feeling down today, look to the Lord, He's waiting there to welcome you with open arms.
morning all! My apologies for being behind this week. I've been blessed with some time for a family vacation in disney, and well, time gets away! Today's message speaks to the moral law God gave Moses so many years ago. I saw a lot of people interacting with each other yesterday...some good, some bad! Pretty much all of the bad came from people not being fair to others...not respecting the moral law God gave us (whether they acknowledge the law is God's or not!). The good interactions were rooted in this fundamental fairness and love for your fellow man. A dropped water bottle picked up by another, someone letting a small child go first in line, a smile and a sorry when someone bumps into you. This is the love and obedience that makes a day go right! Take a cue from what you see around you, follow God's law of love, and watch the world get better around you!
I'm sure we can all remember a time when our mother or father told us "don't do that" or "be home by sundown"...you know, rules we had to live by. At the time we may not have understood, we may have even been angry, but we had to follow the rules. Bottom line, our parents didnt make that stuff up to mess with us (its true!!!), they gave us rules to help us be safe and grow up strong. God does that for us too! The best part...He's never wrong. That's where the term righteous comes in....God is always looking out for our best interest. If we follow His rules, we will grow big and strong in His faith, and be blessed accordingly. He is our good, good Father...listen and be blessed!
